Going Green

Last Saturday was the first time I’ve performed on or around St. Patty’s Day. Usually this day is spent cowering away in my room from the drunken debauchery and Irishmen that come out that day. But this year I was on a show at Casey’s in the North Hills. This was honestly a blast, considering I went into the show wondering if my material was going to land in a mostly older crowd. It’s something I shouldn’t have done, I judged the audience before the show even started. But once I got up and started up my set, it went pretty darn well. I got to kick out some newer material and do a bit of crowd work! There were ups and downs throughout the set, but all-in-all they were a super fun crowd. After the show I got some great compliments from some lovely ladies which is always a great boost for the ol’ self esteem.
